Out of sync
It's midnight and I've been fighting a couple of hours with my palm pilot (PDA, to some people) to sync with my computer. No success so far. This frustration helps me better understand a little better the idea of being "out of sync."
Our technology today is a mixed blessing. Yesterday I was thanking God for our dishwasher. Not only does it get our dishes cleaner and its heat kills more germs, but it also saves us a lot of time for other things. My notebook computer is my right arm for so much of my work: e-mailing, accounting, creating letters and other documents, etc. However, it can be so frustrating when this electronic gadgets don't work as we would like them to. We can lose a lot of time and spend of a lot of money purchasing or maintaining some "toys" that we don't really need.
Technology should be a tool that serves us and our work and the Kingdom of God, rather than vice versa.
