Welcome Brianna
Brianna (or Bri) arrived at our doorstep around noon yesterday (Monday). She came from Nantes on the western coast of France, where she's studying this school year. spring break this week and next. She's on We met her last summer when she was part of a group of 18 students from Wheaton College. The older 2 kids have already warmed up to her.
We're thankful for her help and presence. Having another friendly set of hands, vocal cords, and legs around does make a big difference around here.
Our son started school again after a 2 week break. It was good to get him backt o a normal schedule, as this helps the rest of us as well get into our normal routines. I'm very pleased with how well he is playing in the park with some classamtes whom he had difficulty getting along with earlier in the year.
My wife and I had a helpful and frank discussion about our marriage yesterday. Even after over 8 years of married life, there are still some things that one of us gets wrong that are challenging for the other to handle. Like tending a garden, the marriage relationship needs to be regulary serviced so that it doesn't go stagnant.
