Farewell Werner and Charlotte
Several hours ago on Saturday evening, I attended the farewell party at the Belleville Church of Pastor Werner and his wife Charlotte. I represented all our family, as my wife and children couldn't make the party. I also was requested to photograph the event. Like last Saturday's wedding, I enjoyed participating in the event with my camera.
I created a 12 minute power point presentation with photos of Werner and Charlotte from the past 6 years. I stayed up late on Thursday night doing it, but enjoyed working on this project as my gift to them. The presentation was well received tonight and helped bring back memories of people's lives whom they touched during their years in Paris.
They are moving near Avignon on the mediterranean coast of France. They'll continue working with the ministry "Torrents d'Espoir" ("Torrents of Hope").
Charlotte is a gem with many different gifts, including teaching, translating publically, counseling, etc. Werner is a good leader and communicator whom I have generally enjoyed working with. While I haven't always seen eye-to-eye with him on some issues, I have appreciated his faithful and conscientious work in Paris.
Life and ministry are full of changes. The Belleville Church has had its share of personnel changes during the past 4 years.
