ON THE FRONTLINES: ARTISTIC REFORMATION FROM PARIS WITH LOVE

Thanks Maureen Cruz of New Life Community Church in Chicago for scanning and sending as a PDF document an article about Jim Beise and La Fonderie in the current September/October 2005 issue of Relevant Magazine, a journal for the post-modern emergent young adults. This article was by Tara Dunn, who has led 2 spring-break teams to Paris. The article is titled On the Frontlines: Artistic Reformation from Paris with Love.

Jim is quoted as saying, "You just need one C.S. Lewis or one Tolkien to change an entire field."

We met yesterday at an 80 square meter space in central Paris that the Fonderie is looking to sign a rental contract on and fix up. It would be a useful tool for discipling artists, quality art exhibitions, and arts training classes.

If this is of God, may He clear all the obstacles for this rental contract to come to fruition. If it does, then the Fonderie will need to recruit additional financial and prayer help, as well as individuals and teams to help with the physical renovation of the room.

This article in Relevant Magazine is a blessing, as Jim and I have received e-mail feedback from people who read it. That's one reason it was important to have Maureen send us a copy of the article. We would love to have a number of creative, post-modern, 20something followers of Jesus join us here in Paris.

As we were walking around and praying on the potential Fonderie ministry center, Jim seemed to have a picture of a church full of young people worshiping Jesus. That vision is something well worth being part of and working toward.
