Entertaining angels: the YWAM Las Vegas Team

It's 10 minutes after midnight and we just finished up our first crêpe night of 2006. Our guests were 11 members of the Las Vegas mobile Discipleship Training School (DTS, for short) who are currently in Paris. They are quite a cosmopolitan group, representing nations like South Korea, Singapore, Brazil, Macao, Pakistan, Iceland, as well as locations in North America like Nova Scotia, South Carolina, New York, Nevada, Texas, Minnesota, and British Colombia.

3 of the women arrived 2 hours early to help get ready for the evening, as well as do some special projects that Nicole had wanted done. Thanks Stacey, Jessica, and Hannah for some terrific service.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the evening. They enjoyed some simple things like real CocaCola, potato sticks, olives, pistachos, blueberry jelly, chocolate spread, and vanilla ice cream. As I was looking for something in our basement, it seemed like God said to treat them especially well, as they have been working hard to serve Him.

Our daughter was under the weather today with the flu. She was especially fevorous tonight when Nicole got her tonight. Nicole asked the team to pray for our daughter and they did. Right afterwards, Nicole felt her and it seemed like her temperature had gone down.

Our son stayed home from school, as he seemed to be coming down with a cold. He enjoyed the chance to get some extra rest. We went swimming together later in the afternoon. He seems to be grasping the notion that by kicking while holding onto a floaty object, he can manouver himself to places where he wants to go.
