New Interns
At our weekly staff meeting this morning, Tricia, one of our potential church interns for 2006-2007, was present. She's a terrific candidate for ministry in Paris and it seems like God has been preparing her to come here for awhile.
After the meeting, I met with Ivan, a 21 year old Spaniard who recently completed the Discipleship Training School with YWAM and is very interested in doing an internship at our church. I only heard about him yesterday through Jean-Claude and Isabelle, who are with YWAM in Paris. He knows very little French, but has a great attitude and seems to be highly teachable, something very important for interns. He completed the application today and dropped it off at our apartment. If this works out, it will definitely be a God-thing. It's funny how we haven't had any male candidates for months, then Ivan is dropped right into the picture.
I had a good talk with Jim Beise about interns for la Fonderie. We've had a couple of good candidates through a recent article on la Fonderie in Relevant Magazine. Based on our discussion, I created several intern forms on the computer today.
