Parents' Arrival in Paris Today

My parents arrived in Paris today after a domestic flight yesterday from Denver to Detroit, then a long overnight flight to Paris.

I rented a wheelchair for the first time this morning for my mother. It's strange to need to have a wheelchair to get her around. But that's one effect of aging.

This is likely to be their last visit to us in France. So we want to make it memorable and enjoyable.

It was cute to see my mother relating to my two daughters. My older daughter reminds me of her. Hopefully the children will develop some positive memories of her during this visit.

I definitely feel like part of the sandwich generation right now as I care for aging parents and young children on this trip.
