Transitions

This afternoon we said goodbye to Jeanette, who is currently flying back home to NJ after 2 1/2 months with us. Our 5 year old wanted to go to the airport with us, which surprised me. When we were seeing Jeanette off, he asked when we would see Rebecca again. Rebecca was with us about a year ago, so I was surprised that he remembered her.

As of tonight, we're back to being a family of 5 again. Part of the nature of our ministry work requires opening our lives to many different people from all around the world. I enjoy this very much.

However, I wonder how my kids feel about this and will feel about it in the future. Will they enjoy change and transitions? Or will they prefer stability in location and relationships?
