All Parisiens, All Citizens

Last Wednesday evening while walking to the bus stop for Torrents of Hope, I came across this sign. In French is says, "Tous Parisiens, tous citoyens" (all Parisiens, all citizens).

I am told there is a book title out there that says, "I can't be French, but I can be Parisien." After 12 1/2 years in Paris, I agree with this statement. My assumption is that it takes going through the French school system to really become French.

The poster also specified gave the statistic that 1 out of 7 Parisiens are foreign-born.
