Ultrasound results

Yesterday my wife had her 3rd trimester ultrasound. It went well and mom and baby appear to be fine. The doctor who did the exam is Jewish and she and my wife talked about Hanakkah. We have a couple of Jewish friends here whom my wife is sending Hanakkah cards to this year.

Speaking of cards, we've gotten some nice Christmas cards and newsletters in the mail, as well as through e-mail. My wife went through a stack of unopened mail tonight and read through them before sticking them on a couple of our doors.

This Advent season has been more interesting with our kids, as they are understanding more about some of the traditions. Our son is starting to sing his own version of some of the carols, as well as saying "Baby Jesus" whenever there is a baby in a Christmas song video. Our daughter enjoys Christmas trees and touching some of the Christmas decorations around our apartment. I am so blessed to have them as part of my Christmas celebration this year. It will be wild to have a 3rd child around next Christmas.

Isaac Hayes just got done singing and leading the band in "Shaft" on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien." Boy, did that bring me back to the 70s.
