The Baby's Name Sweepstakes
New Year's Day fell on a Sunday, so we were in church today. It felt good to be there today. Pastor Serge (whose mother died just a couple of days before Christmas) won some points with me by having all the children come forward and giving them a children's message. I was in the nursery with our kids for a few minutes and very impressed with how it has been redone. Hopefully, 2006 will be a very positive year for the children at the Belleville Church.
Speaking of kids, we expect that our next daughter will arrive sometime later this month or in early February. I had mentioned that we might reveal her name today in this blog.
Recently, there was a new name that entered the picture, after we felt pretty sure about one name. Consequently, we have narrowed the field to either one or the other of these names for the first name. We probably will make the final decision on the day of her birth, after we get a first look at her. For she might look more like one of the names than the other.
Here are a couple of hints on these possible names:
1. Both are in the Bible.
2. Both begin with the same letter.
Take your guess on this blog. The first 3 people to guess either of the names will receive a box of French chocolate. Let the sweepstakes begin.

esther or elizabeth.
Hi, this is one of your former short termers... I'll email you so you know which one. I'm probably way off with this guess, but oh well!
Grace and Gabrielle
Of course, the spelling of the name of the angel Gabriel is changed, and although mentioned in the Bible, I don't remember Grace being the name of a person in it. But I know Gabrielle is a French name, and I was also thinking of how Emma's name is spelled!
Jade guesses Abagail and Anna
Kyle guesses Elizabeth and Eve
Hayley guesses Lydia and Leah
Colin guesses Sarah and Sharon
Scott guesses Ruth and Rachel
Griffith Miriam and Mary
I would like to guess the name.. might be Elizabeth

Gotta be Abigail or Anna!
