Brett McCracken: promising 20 something writer and 2004 Paris short-termer
I recently signed up for a 2 year subscription to Relevant Magazine after having been impressed with the issues in Jim Beise's office. This magazine targets a Gen X readership. While holding my 2 year old as she napped this afternoon, I was able to give a read to the January/February issue.
To my surprise, I saw at the bottom of this issue's list of contributors was a photo and short bio on Brett McCracken, a freelance writer who was on the 2004 spring break ministry trip that I coordinated. He writes on film-related issues and contributed two articles in this issue.
When he was in Paris on his trip, I remember him helping with layout on one project, as well as doing some filming with our videocamera of a youth event. One of my desires is to help develop short-term projects that attract creative, artsy types like Brett. May there be other twenty-something Christian authors like Brett who can address the worlds of cinema, theatre, dance, etc. with creativity and solid reflection.
