Comings and goings

On Monday night we had Moise and Elizabeth from Burkina Faso stay overnight before their return flight home on Tuesday. I helped them find Surcouf so they could purchase a video projector on Monday afternoon. They plan to project ministry videos outside at night in the jungle.

Tomorrow (Thursday) Jenny arrives from New Jersey. She'll be staying with us 2 1/2 months and helping our family. She graduated from university in 2004 and plans on going to graduate school later this year.

Her coming provided good motivation to continue cleaning up the office, as that is where she'll stay. It's nice to be throwing some papers away. Right now I'm definitely on a purge kick.

Now we have our son's birthday party to plan. He turns 5 early February and just 2 days after his youngest sister's first birthday. It's hard to know who to invite, as he seems to want to invite a lot of people. I guess he gets that quality from me. He got invited to a birthday party of a classmate at a McDonalds in Paris in a couple of weeks.

Our 11 1/2 month old daughter had her first 2 teeth pierce through today. She's already showing herself to be a good eater who is willing to try a lot of different foods. She also likes coca cola, which my wife chastised me about giving her a sample. She's a cute kid and it's now hard to imagine not having her in our family.
