Live from Lyon (Chaponost), France

After 7 hours on the road, we arrived in Chaponost, a suburb southwest of Lyon in the Rhône-Alps region of France. We are staying at this beautiful home of Ben Beckner, the Western European Director with the Evangelical Free Church agency. Our friends Mike and Caryn DiGena, also with the EFCM, are staying here for this coming year. They are currently on an organizational retreat and have graciously opened up their place to us.

The 2 story house and surrounding grounds are such a change from our small, 4th story apartment in Paris. There is room to run for the kids, a swing set, flowers, a balcony on which we ate supper, and no sirens or noises that we're used to. The Beckners have 2 cats (Pumpkin and Taffy) whom our kids already love and call out to. There also is a small pool that we enjoyed taking a dip in after arriving.
