Happy Anniversary

8 years ago I married my lovely bride.

That day is still a blur of faces, events, and feelings.

Life has been very full since then. Someone has said that the best thing about marriage is getting to have your best friend travel with you all the time. We've lived 6 years in Paris and 2 years in Wheaton, with tens of thousands of miles travelled by air and car. God has blessed us with 2 children from the fruit of our union, as well as a third one on the way.

We've been busy today getting ready for our trip to the Netherlands. It hasn't been the most romantic of days. We've both been impatient with each other. But when the day is done, we're both heading in the same direction and share the love that brought us together 8 years ago.

I got to talk on the phone with my Uncle Fred, whom we haven't seen since our wedding day. He was the one who dropped us off at the hotel on the way to our honeymoon. It's good to have extended family.
