Embrase Nos Coeurs--bis--Reconciliation

Too tired to write much tonight. We had another good day of food sales at Embrase Nos Coeurs. I took another 300 or so photos of the day's events as well. Some of these can be found on our web site.

The afternoon session focused on reconcilation. Mme. Chantal Berthon said that a number of intercessors had a bad feeling in their months when praying for this conference, like there was a dragon inside. They then came up with the word "dragonade," which refers to a period under King Louis XIV when Protestants were obliged to house Catholic soldiers in their homes. There was much abuse that took place at this time. As a Catholic, she wanted to ask for forgiveness to her Protestant brothers and sisters for these acts.

Pastor Samuel Rhein mentioned how many foreigners in France have felt rejected and unwelcome in France. Different groups were mentioned, including Jews, North Africans, Black Africans, Antilliens, and Americans. Non-French believers embraced French believers and received their request for pardon.

There were also representative acts of reconciliation between Jewish believers and North African ones.

An American Jewish lawyer who now does ministry in Kiev, Ukraine mentioned how the biggest revival in Europe is taking place in Ukraine. One key to this revival was how Christians treated Jews in the Ukraine. It appears that this might be an important issue for France and any revival that might happen here.

In my spirit, I sense that all the reconciliatory events of today have had an influence in the heavenies and will help bring spiritual release to France.

It was good to see Marie-Cecile, the midwife who delivered Joel over 3 years ago. Also had a good chat with Alayne, now a sister in the Lord and student at Nogent Bible Institute. We originally met at the Sorbonne University in fall 1993 in phonetics class. This was one of those divine appointments, as she was far from the Lord back then.
