Mr. Mom

Very early this morning, my wife left for a weekend retreat as part of her Torrents of Hope course. This was the first time where she has been away overnight and I've had to take care of the kids all alone. I shouldn't really say "all alone," as my parents have been an invaluable help today.

Both kids asked about her during the day, but there hasn't been the mommy crisis that I expected. This is largely due to having the grandparents around. I wish they were around more.

I'm glad that Nicole got to get away. It sounds like she is enjoying the retreat. Somehow we need to be able to allow her to get away more often.
