Cupcakes to Neighbors
My wife has just finished giving chocolate cupcakes to 5 neighbors in our apartment building. She made some for our daughter's birthday party last Sunday, then gave away a few during the course of the week. She made a 2nd batch yesterday, frosted them today, and distributed them tonight.
When we moved in to this building 5 years ago, she offered homemade brownies to a number of our neighbors. Thanks to her efforts, and the arrival of our kids, we've been able to get to know some of our neighbors. We hope to develop this further during the course of this year.
It was a good Sunday at church as well. Both our children actively participated in the worship. This morning, there were three other preschoolers besides our kids who were waving flags and jumping around in the front during the worship music time. Marie France and Veronique, two worship dancers in our church, helped add color to the service through their rhythmic movements and waving of different banners.
Pierre and Isaac also helped enhance the service through their work with power point on the borrowed videoprojector. They found a web site that had some interesting images, then put one of the creeds up on the screen as well.
Isaac was publicly presented to the church this morning. I can't believe that he's only been here 10 days, as he already is involved in loads of activities and is blending in so well. Christina arrives on Tuesday to help at the Marais Church. I think that she'll really do well too.
Next weekend is the church weekend. It should be good to be there and connect with more people.
