Visitor and potential intern Anne
This morning I went to the airport to pick up Anne. She's finishing an M.A. in Intercultural Studies at Wheaton Grad School, so she knows lots of the profs that my wife had there. She shares an apartment with Vikki, whom my wife used to work with as a grad assistant there. She's interested in doing an internship here, so she's here for a short 2 day visit to check out the scene.
She was originally referred to us by one of the Wheaton profs that we both had. As with Isaac and Christina, it was through our personal network of relationships that this contact developed.
She blessed us by bringing a whole suitcase full of primarily food items that we ordered and she kindly picked up. She'll fill part of that bag up with a newscard mailing that we'll send with her on Sunday. This is substantial savings on both ends for us and we're grateful.
I'm pleased the interest that we're getting in internships here at the 2 Reformed churches in Paris with whom we work. If God keeps the door open for Anne, she will be the 3rd intern here in January, joining the other two who are already here and plan to be through June 2006.
