Closing of Turin Winter Olympics
Tonight was the closing ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics. It's sad to see it end, as it has helped us get through some long nights this month with our baby's first 3 weeks. She's in the photo with me watching the final ceremony.
It's pretty wild to think that my kids are growing up in a much more multicultural and international world than that of my youth. Just in church this morning, we spoke with people from Norway, Germany, Lebanon, Brazil, USA, England, and France. My kids will be naturally bilingual, and hopefully fluent in some other languages as well. They are likely to have dual passports as well.
It was a great surprise to see Brits Chris and Laura Delahoyde and their 6 month old Elisa at church. Chris was an intern at the church a few years ago. We've been blessed this past week to have blasts from the past in our lives.
