Family cold, Fonderie meeting
My whole family was under the weather today with various states of colds. We kept our son out of school today because he had a pretty deep cough. We've got pieces of kleenex all over the floor of the apartment. Even Baby Elizabeth has been sneezing. If it wasn't essential that I be present at la Fonderie for tonight's meeting, then I would have definitely stayed home. However, there are some events that, barring deathbed illness, it's important not to miss.
And so I arrived at tonight's meeting at about 70% physical capacity. I remembered to avoid giving the usual cheek kiss in order to not pass on my germs. The meeting went well. We had 35 in attendance, which was good considering that a number of our regulars were absent due to another event. Thierry Ostrini, who used to be in EXO (one of our favorite French groups), gave an interesting and interactive presentation on creativity. It was a reminder of the value of having a variety of different teaching styles to add spice to the series.
My dad called tonight about a possible housing solution for our time in Colorado this July. It's good to see how some of the pieces of our summer schedule are falling into place.
