Prayer request for Joel

All 5 of us are still in various states of sickness as we fight colds and/or the flu. We stayed home from church today in order to not pass our germs on to our friends there.

Our 2 1/2 year old daughter seems to be in the best shape of all of us. I'm probably the next best, as my energy level is fairly high, even though I'm fighting the coughing of a cold. But the medicine seems to be working effectively in my body in helping eliminate the congestion inside my chest.

Our 4 year old son Joel is in the worst shape of any of us. He's had high temperatures for several days now. When we anointed him with oil and prayed for him at noontime, his temperature dropped, his energy level went up, and he was able to eliminate a good portion of the toxins inside him. However, the fever has come back, although not as high as it was this morning.

This past 6 week since Baby Elizabeth came have been challenging healthwise for our family. From Joel's chicken pox to our family stomach flu to my wife's fall in the Buttes Chaumont park last week to our colds now, it's been a rough stretch.

We would appreciate prayers for protection from illness, accident or injury during this next season, especially for our children.
