Home Base

This morning we had Alayne over for breakfast. She is a Californian whom I first met in phonetics class at the Sorbonne in 1993. While not a committed follower of Jesus back then, she has become one now. She's been at Nogent Bible Institute this past school year and has made it through the program.

Tomorrow she heads back to California for a couple of years. She plans on getting involved at Bethel Church in Redding, California. But, Lord-willing, we look forward to having her back with us in France down the road.

Tonight, Brianna, one of the Wheaton students in Paris recently, is now sleeping in our living room. She flies back to Illinoiis tomorrow morning. But she plans on studying in France the next year in Nantes, so we should get to see her again this coming year.

This is the week of an open door in our apartment and our lives. Hospitality and a hospitable spirit are key components to our ministries, no matter what ministry that might be.
