Moving east from Vernal, Utah
In a few hours, we will start heading east after our week in Vernal, Utah. We plan on leaving bright and early and driving 7 hours, primarily in Wyoming on I-80 and stopping 470.3 miles later in Sidney, Nebraska. We are booked at the Days Inn in Sidney (308-254-2121) for Monday night. We then plan on driving to Omaha and staying with Brad & Patty Eaton (402-932-5099) for Tuesday and Wednesday nights. We plan on being in the Kansas City area on Thursday night, with Ulus Atasoy (573-445-0303) in Columbia, Missouri on Friday night, and with Tom & Diana Rea (573-294-6479) in Hermann, Missouri on Saturday and Sunday nights. This is the tentative schedule for the next week.
We had a nice time at Vernal Christian Church this Sunday morning. Pastor Marty Young graciously allowed us to show our video, which I worked on again yesterday and am mostly happy with now. It appears likely that VCC will be one of our ministry partners. Who would have thought that we would have a partnering church in Utah? But God has His mysterious ways of providing. As usual, it has taken a church insider (this time, Steve & Cathy Ater) to help open the door.
On Saturday night I went to an outdoor sportsmen's banquet in Vernal. It was very interesting to be in a room with a group of predominantly hunters and fishermen, since I don't get the chance to do either. But this type of event is very appropriate for this areas.
It will be interesting to see how our kids react to leaving Stephanie and Carissa, whom they have spent so much time with this past week. We've enjoyed very much this gift of a week in Vernal.
