Full house

Today I picked up Becca's mom MaryAnne at the airport. She's staying with us for 5 nights and getting to visit Paris with Becca. With them sleeping in our living room, we've got 7 under our roof tonight.

MaryAnne and I have been friends since we were in junior high. We attended the same junior high and high school, as well as church and youth group. It's fun to have some friends whom I have known 30+ years.

Healthwise, Joel is pretty much back to full strength, as he was eating heartily tonight and seemed more like his normal self. Our first daughter was diagnosed with pink eye/conjunctivitis today, so we have to keep her from touching the baby. On a health continuum, my wife is in the worst shape of any of us. It's tough to be a mom when one feels sick at the same time.

Praise God for friends and recovering health under our roof. Both are precious gifts not to be taken for granted.
